my damn car blewup. i got home from work at about 400am and was watching a movie when i heard a big pop i looked out side and my 1999 ford explorer limited was on fire. i was shocked i called the fire department it took 15 min to get there. the car was popping and the mirrors were melting. i have a remote starter and while it was on fire the car tried to start it self that would have sucked. so now im with out a car and only have my tiller and its gonna rain for th next five days. this sux hope everyone liked my story. ill try to get pics.
oh i forgot it was an electrical fire. but we dont know where it started but the motor is fine:dunno

      ?

Do you have full coverage under you policy. If so, the insurance will try and figure it out for ya.

you've never seen the faulty alternator wiring plug melt togeather and shoot sparks like its the 4th of July? this is a frequent problem that Ford (Found On Road Dead) had. usually the arcing would ignite the pools of oil sitting around the valve cover gaskets and then work into the fuel injection rail, and BOOM! i'm real sorry for your loss, and i hope the weather lets up on you until you can get another vehicle. personally i've seen the after math of what you decribed about a half dozen times........(yes, i used to be a mechanic )
