  • Toying with an Idea

First I have a couple of questions.
Whats the best fitting race plastic for the TLR?
How much could I expect to get when selling my street plastics?
The reason I ask is I have been thinking about tracking the TL and getting something different for the street. I would be looking for a little more comfort for longer rides on my aging body. Considering, in order:
    1. FZ1
    2.Busa
3.Bandit/ with the word bandit completely removed from bike and a handlebar swap.
Before anyone says buy a different bike for the track, I have considered that but I want a newer bike for the street and the tiller is plenty-o-fun on the track.

If I had the dough... Sharkskinz FTW!!!
Unleash the Beast at the track, I luv it.....(evil laugh)hahahha

BMW sport-tourers would be my choice as the proper "street" bike.
    Best of luck.

If you're willing to let go of those plastics for a good deal, I might be interested.

Not really interested in a "Good Deal", was looking more for "Rape"....jk....maybe.
Anything other than sharkskins to consider?
And out of the three how bout bike selection?

$315 shipped, doubt a Busa is more comfortable but I'd get a Busa for sure.

            Sharkskins

depending on the condition of the bodywork, and beleive it or not the year and color DOES matter in the pricing.

            Get the bandit. Great bike.

              Re: Toying with an Idea

Fit isn't the issue. But considering they're not high-end CF, Sharkskins are very high-quality fiberglass that's thin and light yet consistent thickness, strong and flexible and doesn't spider-web with cracks, surface finish is good and arrives with a decent smooth flexible primer coat.
It's about control skill; this is a motorized dance for joy and not Russian roulette.

There's a guy locally selling full set of pit-tek race plastics that have never been drilled/mounted and a vortex stay for $225. I'm sure he'd ship them to you....The stay itself is $125....
