Check it with a multimeter against the readings in the manual.

It can be replaced with another cam sensor

I'd test it. I'd pull the rear cam cover off, it's not hard and then I would check the cam to make sure the pin the sensor 'sees' is still in it. A couple have fallen out before.

If it has fallen out, check the sensor face t omake sure it wasn't damaged as the pin was flung around.

Im with Steve....My cam pin had dislodged itself from the camshaft. Lucky for me it was resting on top of the head. If it has fallen out, loctite 609 I believe is what I used to reinsert. From the factory they rely on an interference fit...occassionally, they dont stay put!
