  • DirtyFighter build 0002

    I'm about half way done with this motard/ fighter

    When I'm done it will have CBR cast street wheels, knuckles, and be road ready.

    The pipes are straight pipes -old school drag pipes. I am going to design a muffler similar to a flowmaster 30 for cars.

    The build pae is here: http://chucksirois.com/dirtyfighter/0002/main.htm

    When I got her -not running $300

    Now she runs great and looks like this;

        Nice job chuck... Pipes ( & in my opinion only ) way to skinny dude.. if it's feasible try going bigger and bring it around and under the seat sticking out each side with a slash cut.. look at the Apprilia 660 motard... that would be seriously off the hook..
        what would be really sick is if you would cut the seat & sub frame half way, like you did on the TL project..

          good ideas... gave thought to the under seat exhaust but it would be too much work -I like the way the drag pipes line up with the stock header.

          Yep this is sprayed -but its plastic... so I'm trying a new plastic bonding paint... has a bit of gloss to it. Frame came out really nice and the paint took well... painting dirt plastics almost always sucks.

          Keep the faith its not done yet

                89 XR600 for $300! What a bargain, most of these are totally rooted and hard to find in that condition.

                        Re: DirtyFighter build 0002

                        no rubbing, the shock is from a CBR -minor mods to get it under there. Even under heavy bumps it doesn't hit. Its pretty rigid but it does handle the small bumps well.

                        It is by far the funnest bike I have ever ridden.
