+ mod (plus moD) question

those of you who have done the + mod, where did you tap into the orange/white wire to the coils? i have the tank propped up and the only one i see readily accessible without removing the airbox is going into a plug that is mounted to the back side of the airbox. but the wire seems way too small of a gauge, i also see up near the handlebar controls a orange/white wire thats much thicker. where should i tap in? and how do i know which direction the ECU is vs which direction the coils are? thanks guys... simple mod shouldnt be so difficult haha

I tapped in close to the coils and attached the relay to the loom.
And yes ,I took the air box off to do it
