New Guy here !!

G'day all .... new guy here from Australia.

I recently bought a 01' TLR and havent even had time to go over everything yet, I could do with some help on suspension settings (the way this is cornering couldn't be right). I have been riding more years than I can remember. My last bike was an 09' Busa. I have never owned a TL so this is all new to me. It seems like there is a wealth of knowledge here and I am looking forward to exploring all the posts and it will be good to get to know you all alot better

I had to say it. Lets see some pics.
Your gonna find a few things on this bike that "couldn't be right" but there is probably a fix for it. The search button is your friend

Hmmm ! pics OK how do I go about that, is it a photobucket type thing or can you post straight from your puter.
It is just the standard yella with RS-3's like everyone elses. Just need to get the time to get in and get some things done to it, like getting the rims polished in a coupla weeks.
Just tell me why it hits a bump or depression in mid corner and sends the bike outta control, I figured its the rotary rear shock that isn't up to the job ? would that be right ? Thanx for all your warm welcomes, TL owners are such nice people !

suspension has been an issue for as long as holy wars in the middle east.... Most people have an opinion but few solutions. i hear the tls rear suspension does a much better job than the tlr. give that a shot. just my $.02

I thought that was the case with the rotary rear, been pricing Ohlins, bit scary $1100 AU. I'm thinkin'n if I keep riding it like this, I'm gunna end up looking like road kill !

G'day mate , tell me more, did it improve the handling ? were is the cheapest place to buy ? do I need the front Ohlins too ? hope not the boss will never approved that purchase

Ahhh ! I just found the attachment button, I'll put one in of my old bike busa too, you guys probly dont like busa's otherwise you wouldn't be here
This was my TL as it was advertised (pics from previous owner) wont be like that for long !!!

Sounds more like you need to set the suspension up for you. You need to set the sag and then dial in the damping. Contrary to popular opinion, the stock suspension will work just fine for just about everyone not attempting to pass Rossi. It just needs to be set up properly.
