    Re: running problems

Hmmmm. Sounds like when it's changing maps.. from warm up map to the Run map... something is going wrong. Does the bike throw any codes... ya know... when you put the bike in dealer mode.. do you see any of the troubleshooting codes?

What temp does the bike register when this starts happening?

Do you have a TRE unit installed?

When was the last time the valves were checked for clearances?

to sum it up... what have you checked? what have you found out?

            Re: running problems

You sound a lot like I did in my thread in HELP section. And it sounds almost like the same problem I am having. Maybe injector problems...dumping too much fuel in at low rpm's....from what the mechanic is saying about mine. As far as for sale, I was considering that too as soon as I get it back, but the more I read here, the more tempting it is to keep it. Keep your chin up and get it fixed, once done, you'll enjoy it.

              Re: running problems

If you keep it you will love it. It is definitely worth keeping. Just have to sort out the stuff that comes from lack of maintenance. With yours check the coils, you can cut a small amount from the lead and screw the caps back on to see if that helps. Just keep in mind that these bikes are ~10 years old, so some things you might not be used to will start to give up from age. But with most problems you can fix/avoid just by regular maintenance.
