Thinking about buying my old tiller back...

As the subject says...thinking about buying the old girl back. Owner needs the money and I have some extra. I really only want her for a few bits. Motor, suspension, and wheels/tires. Asking price is what I sold her for but Im sure I could wiggle him down. Still dont know that I want to part one out as its a huge pain but not as bad when the motive is to improve the one I have. And to have a spare motor to tinker on

So you still have a TLR and you want a previous TLR you had back? I can't say I haven't been in this situation, because I have.

If you want to take all the goodies from both bikes and put it all together to make a better TLR, then sell the other one, then I'd say go for it.

Its not so much that they will make mine better...but rather will give me options at the track. I want a spare motor that I can play with and rims/tires for regular use if I put slicks on my BSTS. As for the rear suspension, i like the Ohlins but the custom penske with Ti spring and LE link was really nice

What would you like to improve on your current bike with parts from the old one?

If it were my bike I'd be looking at other forks and/or brakes

Edit: why not try to trade the Penske for a stock setup and some dosh his way? Stock wheels are easy to come by? Unless you're sure the hassle is worth it..

Well go get her then If she sits too long Ill probably scoop her up. It was a solid bike when I sold her.

I really think that when suzuki stopped making the tl van bought everything they had at the warehouse.

I agree about taking them apart but I was the one that put that bike together...Here is what she looked like when I brought her home....

I may take Van up on his offer but this one is getting cheaper by the minute. He just texted me with a new lower price. Who knows...maybe he has busted her up. I havent seen the bike since she rode away at thanksgiving
