  • I have landed on Planet TL!!!!

Posted a week or so ago about which to get - a TLS or TLR!!! and thnaks for all your advice.

Well last night bought a 2000 TLS in green with cracking refurbed gold wheels, irridium screen, Viper race cans (offensively loud!!) and power commander.

Wanted one of these since they were launched so I am well happy!!!

Already started thinking about what tasteful mods to do!!!

Re: I have landed on Planet TL!!!!

congratulations mate show us some pics!

as for the mods - i have the last custom made upper triple clamp for sale, so if you interested shoot me a pm. ( pic of it: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...g?t=1277750694 )

if you want to improve the handling - gixer forks swap and aftermarket rear shock would do that.

Re: I have landed on Planet TL!!!!

Handeling feels OK at the moment - I'll start giving it some stick as I get used to it and see where we go from there.

Steering feels heavy, so doing something about the damper may well be a first.

Gixxer forks? 750/1000 ? and are they juust a straight swop? What about clamps, brakes etc...

on tlzone you can find all the info about the fork swap. A member Sam sells the shim kits for these swops. you could use any gixer forks btw

as for the damper - you could change the oil with some lighter 2,5w just like many of us did

Welcome. Hide your wallet cause once you buy something from vandriver, you won't be able to stop........ his parts are such quality someone once asked him to build a billet sidecar.
