They do get hot in traffic.

Yes, but mainly at the stops. I found by sitting further back on the seat and trying to spread legs to keep them off of the frame works ok. LOL

Yep, they even get hot in UK traffic, nothing to worry about even with full leathers on.
Does it get hot in Florida

Oh, come on now, Design, I ride in shorts, but like stated, I sit back from the tank at stops and keep the legs from the frame, LOL. But, yes, better with jeans, but considering you're in Fla. Mr. M (maybe 2 hrs. north of my home town), I know it gets hot and humid there, but more pleasant beach side for sure!

yeah, i'm in ga, an hour from the fl. line. I have made that ONE trip in shorts, and had to sit in downtown traffic at about a 15-20 degree angle on one leg to keep from touching. after riding around for about 5-10 minutes, it only takes about 45 seconds for my ole tlr to go from 140 degrees to almost 200. GA humidity is a mother

Ok, yes, tlr gets warm in traffic. Yes there are things you can do to help limit this. Yes one of which is to wear a minimum of jeans. Yes this serves two purposes as you won't be worried about the heat you used to feel once you get skin grafts. With all the morons they are handing licenses to in cars now days, its not very smart to ride in shorts.

But well worth it. The look you get from others, the sound coming from the twins, and the feeling of being Billy Badass on her is a small price to pay.

Sure it gets hot. But wire up a manual fan switch and you'll be fine.

As far as the manual switch, can you run regularly (bypassing) and still be able to flip it on when needed without bypassing the auto function of the fan?

Thanks for pointing that out as I forgot to mention that. Mainly because if I'm going to be in stop and go I usually just flip it on beforehand.
