Doing the fork seals on ma tls have stripped the m down both sides and cant remember which way the seals go tried looking at the haynes but it has picture of the seal both ways (haynes is a crock of shit) and the service manual that you download is not to good either so my question is which way spring clip (on the seal) facing the bottom of fork or top of fork

The open side of the seal faces inward into the fork case. T.L.

just to confirm then, once the fork is back together with the dust cap off you should not see the spring within the seal, cos thats the way I have done them and they are still leaking

The spring should be on the oil side

If you bought cheap chinese seals from Ebay then that may be your problem, they are shite.

Check the chrome sliders for scores/pits etc

Also check the fork slider bushes, if they are worn the forks have enough movement to open up a gap on the seal under braking

cheers I got them from wemoto so thought they would be OK (they are going to send me another set good will ,mayby need to invest in new bushes they were tight to get in mayby I never got em home enough

Is the tls seal different from the tlr/hayabusa seal?

My forks have a blue adjuster at the top are these tls or R or mayby busa??
