  • Tail riser kit for my 1998 TL1000r

    I want to raise the tail end up a couple inches!!! Any advice?? whats available? Im having trouble finding any kind of after market kits on the market for TL's.

          For less cost you can cut off the end of the subframe rails, weld on a piece of aluminum, drill a hole thru it and tap it (or use a nut).

          I went the most expensive route. I welded on 4 of Van's extensions, one on each subframe arms, with the upper 2 arms shortened first. So I have a half-raised TLR tail.
          It's about control skill; this is a motorized dance for joy and not Russian roulette.

            I second that....just installed mine and her ass is looking nice these days. And I wasnt even counting on the better ride feel I get. Better turn in.....

              Don't get me wrong, Van's are nice. But I prefer to weld them on.
