Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?

The other night I was hugging the side of my running bike trying to stay warm when I noticed my exhaust was glowing bright red

Yes it will do that. When air flow isn't cooling it

Normal if you leave the fast idle on and have that second cup of coffee! Don`t do it again. If you have a R it could leed to meltted plastic. If you do have a R you can`t see the pipe very well anyway.T.L.

You should see Harley pipes at a burnout contest. Even the barrels and heads start to glow. They shut down when the whole engine starts drooping and getting rounded off like a metling ice cream cone and they begin to see a faint image of the pistons and crank like a red x-ray...
It's about control skill; this is a motorized dance for joy and not Russian roulette.
