  • 6 Pots?

I'm sorry to re-ask this question but can anyone tell me which 6 pots are a direct swap for the TLS? I have read it somewhere but cant find it again
I know the TLR ones fit, but I'm after some off a common cookie cutter to make things a little cheaper

    Thanks in advance

        Re: 6 Pots?

Just pick up some busa calipers. Or ask someone else about the kawi calipers.

First gen busa to 07 had 6 pots the 08+ have radials. So any non radial busa caliper will work.

But then I don't know all that much about TL's

                    Re: 6 Pots?

Thanks for the offer but I have my eyes on a set for $80NZ off a ZX10.
There are cheaper ones out there too but these look in almost original condition.
I've never been a fan of the gold, unless its on Brembo calipers of course

stop lookin at the zx10r calipers, a quick look on the net shows all zx10r's to have radial calipers
                      you want zx7r zx6rg-a1p models
zx9r c-e models the first of the zx12r's the zrx1200

                        Yea thats what I said......ZX9R
don't know what I was thinking then. But at least now I have a good list to choose from. Thanks again

On another note.....When I do change to 6 pots, will this affect the contact area of the pads on the rotors? or should I do the swap when I get new rotors? Mine are quite worn, but still plenty of life in them.

                          Re: 6 Pots?

you can get the disks ground true again.

someone might know who does it in NZ

you may need to change the master cylinder so see if you can get the matching one to the calipers. the S master is 14mm. the R is 5/8 which is five thou off 16 mm

instead of the sixpots why not look for some of these?
i find them much better than any bike i've had that had the black 6 pot tokico calipers, the gold busa calipers were much more durable than the black
but these calipers have not needed a rebuild yet after being ridden in all weather

They look good. There would be less weight and should work well considering the Bandit isn't exactly a featherweight. I suppose I'd have to find a matching master for these also?
