  • Scrap's Stupid Black TLR

So you guys say you like your black frames and you like black fairings and you like black wheels. Well check it out all rolled together . For $3.95 a can. You too can have a bike as black as this. Yup, the whole bike has been painted with a rattel can. Only thing I need to do now is cut my cans down a couple inches and spray the sleeves.

On a side note, dig that Florida weather. Yup, rain! every damn day. You can time your watch by it. It's days like this I really miss my car .

      Missed a spot

What's up with those bungie hooks, looks like you missed the subframe.

I love black though, so nice

I'm still not done with the subframe. I Need to get in there and finish grinding down the exhaust mounts. So I didn't paint the whole subframe yet. I had half the bike apart last night doing some maintnence and stuff. I didn't finish till 1am. I'm pay'n for it now too. I'm sore as hell. Doug had the right idea get'n that lift .

              Nice.

Do you have more pictures of the plate mounting??

And, doesn´t it scrape the asphalt turning right??

I can take some more. It's basicly the stock tag braket bolted to a piece of aluminium. I just bolted the whole thing to the torque bar off the rear brake. It dosn't rub. Even on a hard corner. If it touches down I have bigger things to worry about

                    Diggin' the black

When you painted it all, what parts did you take off the bike to paint (like wheels or swingarm), and did you remove the motor to do the frame?

I'm thinking of making the half size version of that

That's what I was going for. Ready for anything, wipe it down with a rag and ride it with in an inch of its life.

                        That would be nice.

Hard to se on pictures how much it acctually sticks out. or not.

Swedish plates are sligtly bigger, but, it might work. But some pictures how others have done it would help, then I don´t have to reinvent the wheel again...

                              Black is sweet

I am not flat black type but I must say your ride looks tight.

With regards to the Florida rain, no pity from this guy. That weather down there is sweet in comparison to way up north. 12 month riding season................mmmmmmmmmm
