  • How many have made the switch!?

    .. to the Dark Side?

I mean how many have gone from a 4-banger to the mighty TL and if you have, would you ever go back?

    I know I won´t.

I ride both twins and I-4's. Each has it's own brand of fun, so why limit yourself? Okay, economically maybe, but in your mind there's no reason to get set on one or the other. A versatile rider can make the most out of whichever Currently, I'm thinking I'd like a go at one of Triumph's triples! Anyone ever ride one of those? Thoughts?

I've had a few I-4's, don't plan on going back either. My next bike will most likely be a cruiser with hard bags for touring.

Will never go back to I4.
Love the rumble and turque of the twin.

Yup, I made the switch! I went from a 600 Kan O Tuna to my TLS. Since that was taken, it looks like I'll be hooking up with a TLR by months end if all goes well!!!

I went thru 3 I4's in 6 months (got bored with them)....

One of them could even shoot a 5 ft flame out the tail pipe on demand that scared/impressed any one behind me (thanx to the mikuini CR carbs)...

But, alas I saw the TL light and will never look back

The only configurations I haven't owned are a single and a triple.

                          V4's, I4's, I2's, V2's...

I like them all. I certainly wouldn't rule out an entire calss fo motorcycles based solely on the engine layout.

That I have two Suzuki v-twins right now does say a lot, I think.

Love my tiller a lot, but can't wait to get my 600 Katana fired back up. It's the loudest I-4 that I have ever heard. Friends could hear me a mile away while wide open. Who says you need to repack your can(s)? I love my smoked Vance and Hines.
Don't know how it works? Take it apart and find out!

                            Here's how it sounds.

had a buddies t595 while he wa in saudi for 6 months. i though it would be the best of both worlds (kinda the torque of a twin with kinda the top end of an i4) but i found, at least with his bike, it was the worst of both worlds. the motor just felt kinda flat all the way through the rpm range. just wasnt impressive. i hear the newer triumphs are pretty sweet though.
