i am a little curious what this will do to the bikes turn in. i have a ride height adjuster and between that and the penske ill be able to get the sag, height, and damping back to where it is now.
i went a conservative 3.5 inches with the extension.

anybody ever ridden around the twisties with a long swingarm?

So you're looking at what? 60 inch wheelbase now? Might not be too bad. Probablly gona slow the bike a tad but nothing a good weekend of corner bang'n won't cure. Probablly just something you'll have to et used to. BTW, who did the extention for you? looks like a pretty clean job.

there is a 60 inch class for drag racingin the NMRA.
its heads up dominated by busas.
ill never be able to win that class but i would be fun to surprise a few people.

MDR is motorcycle dynamics in san diego. they are involved with a lot of the salt flat bikes. i believe they are involved in a current record attempt of 330 mph with a blown 550 hp hayabusa.

they actually weld a billet section inside the butt through holes they drill and later weld shut, then butt weld it.

they have a jig for this and fortunately the busas and tl s have similar arms.
