G'day to the rest of you TL guys!
After a 20 year break, I'm back on bikes now!
I became aware of the TLR back in about '99, and I knew then that was gonna be 'my bike' when I finally got one.
So I got a '99 model in yellow. Standard except for a full Staintune set and (I think, because I haven't looked yet) a 16 tooth front sprocket....if I don't have a smaller sprocket, then I've got a crappy speedo/odo thats out by about 5%. I've fitted new Metzlers...thats about it.
I live in Austinmer, 60km south of Sydney.
As a result of my lengthy sabbatical from riding, I'm taking things easy at the moment, I've been on a few runs.....Cooma, Bega, Jervis Bay etc, usually via Macquarie Pass.

If you've browsed this forum, you'll see Australia is pretty well represented on the Planet. Quite a few Sydney-siders too.

I think Melbournestill has the greater numbers though

Hey Steve, you're right - I have been around for a while, trouble is ( and I don't even know if I should admit this) I forgot I had joined up.
Yup - totally forgot!!!
It was your suggestion (via the direct email the other day) that caused the little light in my head to spring up. So yeah, I have been lurking I guess...lurking without knowledge or intent. (quite sad, really.......)

zOsO - don't hold your breath on the coast road opening up anytime soon. At this stage the road is closed "indefinitely" I heard that RTA found a serious crack in the cliff UNDER the road which the have to stabilise! (Some time back, they had a major part of the road end up in the Tasman Sea!) And of course, there is still crap falling from above, despite their earlier netting efforts.
In the meantime, there's still the old Princes Highway?
