    Hello Gents & Gals.
    I finally sold my 2002 TLR Last week for not to much of a reasonable price, since you all know that the TLR looses value by the minute. However, I will miss it, cause I did enjoy it and most of it learned from it... I'am now ready to get a new bike this Monday already and I'am confused a bit , cause I'am in between a 01 Gix1 or the 03 Gix1. The dealer is hooking me up real good on a 03, due to a promotion going on now at $9800.00 OTD. I saw a Show-Room Mint Cont 01 Gix1 for $7700 plus the tax. He wont go lower cause in fact it is in a new cont with 5K miles.
    I have to make a dicision this Monday already. Anyways, I want to thank you all for responding and helping me in all my questions in the past and participations. I will still come here in and out, since I still love V2 in the heart...

    It all depends on how hard up you are for a brand new ride! I have read that tons of guys love the 01!! I would love to have the black and silver 01 personally!!!! If you can afford the 03, go for it!!! If not, nab the 01!

      I think the 01 looks much better and itīs really close to the 03 in performance also, for less money. to me itīs a no-brainer, get the 01. :rock

          03 all the way.. think re-sale... having the newer body style will sell better than the Old style.

              Go the 03 for sure in Blue and Black.
              Over here (Oz) TL's seem to hold their price well. Gix1ks are starting to show up cheaper than the equvalent year TLR.

                01 $7700.00...

                Save $2100.00, that's $2.87 per day for the 2 yrs difference ...what's it worth to ya?

                Just a few mods:

                Silver, the fastest color!

                On the inside - HID type bulbs, K&N filter, Iridium ix plugs, 16T front sprocket, Coerce billet sprocket cover, Yosh re-map +5, +5, +5 11 o'clock, Scorpio SE-i500 system from my GB and an ATRE.

                On the outside - TLR forks, front carbon fender, 5/8th master brake cylinder, black SS brake lines (frnt & rear), braking waves all around with Ti bolts, Brembo gold front calipers & a busa gold rear caliper, flush mount signals (frnt & rear), ZG DB scr

                      I'd go for the '01. The '03's look like ass

                      For the money saved, I'd get a full exhaust, PC2, Suspension, the works

                        I think Suzuki made some nice differences w/ the 03. Go with the 03, please.

                          Steve, yes your right. I was leaning previously towards the R1, but I heard many horrible storys about there handling and also the lack of performance compare to the Gix1. Also, I'll be loosing by the end of the 2003, due to the new designed already on teh way with ram air and all, etc...
                          the diffence is not $2100. Its actually less , due to taxes. the 01 Gix will come out at least 48200.00 after taxes and registration transfer. its like $1900.00 difference really.

                              I never think resale, I only buy things that I plan to keep for a longer period of time. Sure, if you only ride the 03 for one summer it might be a more economical choice but if you keep it for longer you will loose more money on the 03 I think. Bikes are redesigned every 2 years now anyway (exept the TLR of course ) so expect a new gix in 05 and if you havenīt sold it by then the price will drop a lot. At least thats how it works here. Besides, the 03 is ugly!
