  • Foot Peg Riser "thingy's"

I got some free foot peg riser thingy's (<---you can tell im a college student, cant ya)

I'm not really sure what they are called, they are like a cheap way of raising your footpegs without buying adjustables. Anyways, I was kinda wonderin if that is going to cause my exhuast pipe to hit before the foot pegs now? If that even possible.

Also, what are those metal peices stickin out of foot pegs? I've heard people call them feelers? Are those to prevent you from hitting your pipe? Or are they just added weight?

I'am going to put these risers on and was wondering if I measure the bottom of my footpeg to the bottom of the pipe will that tell me which on is going to bottom out first?

Really my only concern is I dont want to grind away on my Yosh exhaust...call me whacky.

    Thanks Everyone.
    B.

The feeler things you referred to are just that. They are used to "feel the ground". that will be the first part of the bike that grinds the ground. Since you are raising your pegs higher (I haven't heard of peg risers besides rearsets) your feelers probably won't hit first. It might be your kick stand, possibly your pipe, but if you're a beginner, I wouldn't even worry about it. To give you a guage, roll your tires to the sides and them some to even come close to scrapping.

Take a damn hammer and bend that kickstand where you put it down at. Bend it upwards towards the pipe. I hate that thing and now im grinding the very bottom of the kickstand better for it to be the very end slightly gliding along than the middle where you can lever the bike off the ground

Just wanted to say that I put them on and I'll post pics once I borrow someone's camera.

They are pretty slick, not bad for free, can't complain

The exhuast side is maybe a little close, the peg sticks out just a little farther then the exhuast so I'll have to be careful when I get my peg down...
