  • Tiller Down!!!!!!!!!!

Went for a great ride this morning up in the mountains. Me and my bud on his R6 where haulin ass having a great time. Anywhoo I go around this insane right hander and drag knee then my boot hits then I feel the peg scraping the ground. I am thinking cool I have never drug my peg before...then it happened ...the rear end jsut slid out from under me. No wiggle nothing just me sliding across the road. I have heard the Pilot Sports give out with out warning. Thank god for gear or I would have been in bad shape. i slid about 30 feet before coming to a stop. Not a scratch on me. I picked up the bike started her up and headed to a safe spot to stop and look over the bike. Just cosmetic damage and rashed the edge of my right yosh pipe and header.

this is just a pic of the view from one of the stopping points.

Ouch, glad to hear you are alright.

That is what scares me about putting a knee down anywhere other than a track (thats not saying I can do it anywhere, but you get the idea)

    Goodluck putting her back together

Hell I will ride her like that....this aint no beauty contest... Actually I am going to leave it like that till this winter when I redo alot of stuff. I had already planned on the plastics....the pipe I dont know what I am going to do with it. I might sell to the best offer for both. All I really need is a header, right can, brake lever, flushmount(already have one) and a new bar end. Very minimal. My leathers arent that bad either.

Seca, Glad you are okay - luckily there was nothing to hit there - lots of guardrails and trees and buses here - even on the mountain roads! Let me know if you want to sell your Yoshimura system - I am in the market.

Yeah I am leaning towards selling it. Make me an offer and I will think about it.

We could even get lucky with the shipping, my brother lives in Tokyo and is coming home for a visit soon. I could just send it back with him if it works out!
