  • clutch or cushdrive ?

So i'm going about 65-70 in 5th and I pull out to pass a semi. Kinda hard on the gas and I feel the motor rev up a bit and then accellerate hard. It felt like a clutch slip or extra cush in the cush drive almost felt like turbo lag. What the hell is this ? If i rev out in lower gears the clutch seems tight with no lag ? thanks, george

sounds like a bit of clutch slip . every now and then i'll be hard on the throttle and she'll slip a bit. it happens so fast i barely notice it. doesn't seem to matter if the engine is cold or warm or hot, but its only hard on the gas in 2nd or 3rd gear. it is a very intermitant slip for my bike (5k miles), and it hasn't happened for a while.............sorry for the useless post George

Sound like typical TLS slip, it will hook up or you can back off and try again and chances are it will be ok (for that pass).

Mine loved doing it. http://home.iprimus.com.au/stevebm/clutch.htm for my clutch woes.
