  • Airtech Fairings

I am just about ready to get some fairings to replace my wrecked ones. Airtech has the stock style upper and both lowers for about $425 and are local so no shipping. Has anyone seen their stuff? If so, how's the quality?

I've been very dissapointed with the Airtech stuff I've seen. I bought a solo cowl from them for my old Katana and it was a total POS.

Hammerit might not be the quickest, but they're certainly the best. The quote on my fairing was 3 weeks, and I'm in South Africa! It's worth the wait.

              Hot Bodies

What about the "Hot Bodies" race fairings? Has anyone used them

Hot Bodies race fairings are just that, race fairings. No provisions for lights, etc. I suggest HammerIT!.

Have a look at Akcomposites.com as well. I'm doing some negotiating with a new local company called catalystracing in San Marcos, so maybe we'll have another local shop.

All the Airtech stuff I have seen were junk. Poor fit and finish. Save your money, the Airtech stuff isn't worth it.

                          Contact AK Composite

They have the best race plastics you can buy and its not that hard to cut out a hole for your light.

As for Scaretech they crack when you mount them so I would stay clear of them.

Go with Ak and you wont be dissapointed.

Worth the wait, I just bought a TLRR kit from Hammerit and I am extremely happy.

Oz looked after my purchase and kept me up to date with how my fairing was going and the date the parcel should arive....GUESS WHAT It turned up a day early......how pumped was I?

I`m sure all of the guys on this forum who have bought Hammerit gear have been happy, both with price and service if mine is anythig to go by.

Now if only it would warm up a bit I might be able to paint it.

I just put some hot bodies race fairings on a buddy's ducati and they were decent fairings. though not top quality. They'll need some bodywork to be prepped for paint if that's your goal. If ya don't care about what they look like or how they fit together, then go with air tech, hot bodies aren't much better. For quality and if you don't mind riding naked for a while go with hammerit and get the tlr/r kit. super dope. just my two pennies
Why yes I am a jackass, thank you.
