  • goodridge clutch line

I installed the goodbridge kevlar front and rear brake lines without a problem. I just tried doing the clutch but it seems that the bolts are not the right type. From the beginning they get "stuck" (i.e. hard to drive) and if I go on I just ruin the thread on the bolt. Comparing the bolt to the sock bolt it seems that thread is different. Anyone has seen this before?

Yep...they've given you bolts with the wrong thread pitch. Go back to where you got them and remind them what kind of bike its for.

I got it from part411. I will call them on Monday. What's wird is that the box says that it's for 98 TLR. I suppose suzuki didn't change the pitch in 99? This completely sux, now I have to put the original line back until I get the new bolts. Does anyone know what the specs of the correct bolt are?

Happened to me on my last bike. I just called, they sent me the proper ones with a plentiful supply of crush washers. Never asked for the wrong ones back.
I've crashed both, and hurt myself worse on bicycles then I have on motorcyles!

Actually, it's nice to have key words spelled correctly, so the next guy with the same question who uses search doesn't have to try "alternate" spellings.

Sorry redbull. I stand corrected. if anyone wants to ask questions about my gallffer disks, yoshimoora exhaust, brimbo brakes or Merchinasi wheels, then they'll know what to search for!

I agree. Actually it wasn't a mistake, I really thought it was "bridge" and not "ridge". Which probably also explains why I couldn't find any info on the net about the company

I called up goodridge today about the bolt. The guy I dealt with was very nice. He says that the clutch line kit should have come with 4 bolts 2 with finer threads and 2 with coarser. According to him it should be sold with 4 bolts since suzuki mixed the threading even within a year(?). Anyway he said he is sending me the bolts.
