Found a TLS for sale!

Hey guys,

I found a TLS for sale it's a 1997 with 19 000km's I guess around 12 000miles and the guys is selling it for 4500$ canadian which is roughly 3000-3500$ us...

It's been replainted blue (pretty nice) not because it was dropped just cause the guy wanted it blue...

Upgrades:

Rear fender painted blue
wheels painted blue with polished lip
Two Brother 2 in 1 pipe
Metzler 190 rear tire (looks sick)
Steering stablizer
Solo seat
DynoJet stage 1 when he removed the seat I saw a DynoJet stage 1 module I asked him about it he said he had no clue what it was! he's a 50 year old guy who just likes to ride! hehe... I know what it is but I'm wondering what it does to the TLS hehe...Fuel map I guess...??

So I know alot about the bike, because it is owned by the owner of a MotorCylcle shop where I have 2 of my friends that are mechanics there so I know that the bike is in great shape and was never dropped...so you guys think it's worth it...I thought it was a realy really good deal cause I never see any for sale around here...

sounds like a good deal. i bought my 97 tls in march for 4500 us dollars. 6thousand miles on it, full yosh race pipes, good rubber, never dropped, heli bars.
i say get it. the 97s rock! mine puts out 120 hp and 74 tq at the rear wheel.! and it has not been mapped. yet....oh yeah, the dyno jet module is the same as a power commander, which allows you to upload via computer new maps.....you might want to check out the rotary damper (rear shock) mounts on the frame, and the headstock on the frame... these have a tendency to crack if not fixed by suzuki. it should have been fixed by suzuki by now. if not, you can always get a new frame installed by suzuki for free. seriously you can. mine got a new frame in 2000.
these bikes are great bikes, and witha few mods are i think the best bike out there...

what's a headstock LOL!! maybe the french word would be nice...or a description..hehe...

the headstock is the very front of the frame, where the steering goes through the frame. the top triple clamp (holds the fork tubes) is located on top of the headstock and the bottom triple clamp is on the bottom of the headstock. look around that area for cracks. they will probably be pretty fine cracks (if there are any) so look closely

I bought my tiller after selling my tls. Let me tell you, I miss the tls. For some reason I could rail that thing harder and faster than my tiller, though i don't feel confident about the shite tires I have on my tiller. Never had to worry about traction with my gp's. I plan on picking up another cheap 97 tls at some point in the near future when I can afford two bikes. V twins are the only way to have it.

was this limited to the 97? all that torque was just trying to fold that frame in half!

yes, mostly..... that and bad porosity in the aluminum.... zuki has a whole warehouse full of replacement tls frames so i hear.....
