  • Waterleak?!

Damn, removed the fairings on my TLR today.

Found a water leak behind the battery, somewhere (I tried to make a red circle on a TLS , I have an TLR, same engine so...) behind the mark in tha picture belwo.

Does anyone have the slightest idea where it can be?
    Does it sound expensive?
F**K!!! if that proves to be an expensive thing then there´s no more TL driving this year!

BTW - That bike is obviously not mine, but it was the only (!) one that was photograped with the left side showing the engine...

(To the bike owner, really nice bike. )

My first guess is that it could be one of the hoses that bridges between the two cylinders. During your scratchy slidy you may have jarred one of the hoses slightly loose. I had a similar leak and one twist of the hose clamp and away the leak went. Can you actually physically see where the leak is originating? Or are you just seeing water pooled up somewhere?

The bike is going to service tomorrow ( a scheduled one - 32000km).
So I´ll ask him if he can find the leak.
        It´s to dark outside, and I didn´t have a flashlight w/ me.

But, I think you are right. I cant remember it leaking before the crash. It´s ALOT of white liquid on the engine (all dried up).
Since, its so close to service. I don´t have time to go to deep into this.

        Thanks!

On mine, just above where you circled, is where the hose from the radiator enters the engine, probably just jarred it.
