For those of you who were ever wondering what happened to the TL race program. Here is a really good article on a beautiful race bike that was made by Yoshimura. Its a shame the potential of these awesome bikes was not seen and the program was dropped.Read and learn.

Hint:for those of you who dont know hold your mouse button over the bottom right hand corner of the article and click the icon that appears to expand.

    "It's similar to doing 199mph"
Shinichi Itoh's response to the press when he was the first man to break 200mph on a GP bike.

    Good link!

Not very similar to a road going version. Check out the size of the breather line to the airbox from what looks like a seperator box at the rear of the subframe. They stole Doug's idea before he even came up with it.

I turned the auto picture resizing off as soon as IE started doing it

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

The second to last paragraph sums it up.... He felt the dark side of himself being drawn to the TL...

I have my separator in the cowl.
But, my breather line is slightly thinner...
And, it runs on the left side of the bike. Its amazing how much oils you get in that box back there! Sure dont want that in the airfilter!

BTW - I was told that if you tuned everyting right, and had a little fan that sucked out the fumes you could get another 1-2 hp. Hmm, could that be true? I was a bit sceptical, but, Hey, Im not a engine wiz anyway...
